Jagran Jan Vikas Samiti (JJVS) has evolved over a period of time
viewing and analyzing poor socio-economic status of the tribal in
south Rajasthan. For many decades tribals of the region have undergone
exploitation in the hands of powerful people and has received bare
benefit from the development programmes introduced by the Government.
Looking to the miserable and poor conditions of these tribal some
young and enthusiastic people from village VALI (situated 55 km.
from Udaipur) after much discussion decided to work for the upliftment
of these people through JJVS.
JJVS is a non- profitable voluntary organisation registred under
Society Registration Act 1958 founded in 1985, The society is also
registered under the foreign contribution (Regulation) act- FCRA
of 1976 with the ministry of Home affairs. Society is dedicated
to the tribal welfare in Udaipur district of Rajasthan, India. The

their better livelihood and working for the protection and development
of environment. JJVS is working in the field of Integrated Rural

and Advocacy for the social issues having a definite bearing of
the life of people.
Jagran has come forward with a strong faith that its efforts will
uplift the socio economic condition of those people who have been
neglected and denied their rightful share of the society for centuries.
The Organization has decided to work jointly with the people inviting
them to participate actively in solving their own problems. The
Organization wishes to support their reasonable demand and decision
and encourage them to discover and utilise the available natural
resources. Jagran trusts that the spread of education will help
them to overcome their deep rooted superstitions and social evils.
Broadly speaking the objective of JJVS is as here under:
• Conserve environment
• Work for overall development of the area.
• Encourage agriculture-based industries.
• Identity and solve the local problem
• Bring awareness toward health and education
• Establishing liaison with govt. Dept for effective implementation
of the plans and programme.
• Organize community to raise voice for the right and duties.
Jagran visualize the establishment and strengthening of a social
order and system. Where the basic needs of all are fulfilled, removal
of economic inequalities, individuals and society have access to
create thinking and democratic decision making, enjoys equal social
status and where the power is exercised by all in a responsible
manner for the common good.
Such social order, based on human dignity should emerge from the
people themselves; concretely it means a first distribution of resources,
their regeneration and growth in which opportunities are created
for all. Such a social order would be required to eliminate the
exploitative factors from society through programs that create social
awareness and organisation of people for their rights through peaceful
means.

offices in its own buildings at Udaipur, Vali, Jaisamand
